I like “qued.” It sounds vaguely dirty.

waul (n.): a loud cry or howl.

Yeah. That pretty well describes what I do whenever I hear Dubya’s voice.

furnage (Obs.): a. the process of baking; the price paid for baking. b. Feudal law.

Huh. In some universe not my own, those two possible meanings make sense. Otherwise, not.

maness (rare): woman as the feminine of man.

This is the perfect word for slashers and critics of slash. Now, instead of ranting about women with penises (or men with vaginas) in really crappy slash, all I have to say is, “For Nick, she substituted a maness that looked like Stokes but who was little more than a wangsting teenage girl.”

hugger-mugger (sb.): concealment, secrecy.

I like that word quite a bit. It has style and flare. And with that, I’m off to bed.
